Alex Hugo
Alex Hugo is a former member of the USA women's national team. During her time playing softball at Georgia, she hit 25 home runs, and in her career, she hit a total of 71, which is tied for 25th place all-time as of 2022. 2018, she transitioned to baseball and debuted for the US in the Women's Baseball World Cup. During her debut game, she was a pinch-hitter for Megan Baltzell and was hit by a pitch from Maaike Haak. She managed to get her first and only hit off, Carla Minier of the Dominican Republic. Unfortunately, in the Bronze Medal Game, she was 0 for two against Amanda Asay of Canada, and Kelsie Whitmore pinch-hit for her in a US loss. Overall, she finished 1-for-7 with a walk, two times hit by a pitch, and two runs while also handling four putouts in left field.
