Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets are a professional basketball team based in Denver, United States. They participate in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a Northwest Division of the Western Conference member. The team was founded in 1967 as the Denver Larks and was one of the original franchises of the American Basketball Association (ABA). However, before the start of the first season, the team changed its name to the Rockets. They changed their name once again to the Nuggets in 1974. After the name change, the Nuggets competed in the final ABA Championship title in 1976 but unfortunately lost to the New York Nets.
