Red Wings
The Detroit Red Wings, commonly referred to as the Wings, are a professional ice hockey team based in Detroit. They are a member of the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL) and one of the League's Original Six teams. The team was founded in 1926 and was initially known as the Detroit Cougars, but changed their name to the Detroit Falcons in 1930. The name was revised again in 1932 to the Red Wings, which they have kept since then.
